BRITAIN'S next biggest superstar could be uncovered in Rhyl this spring.
Popstar wannabes can start their bid to win of the nation when auditions for the 16th series of The X Factor take place at the Late Lounge, on the High Street, on Thursday, March 21.
For one night only, Prestatyn events planners and SFX retailers The Garden Den, who are currently in the beginning stages of hosting Wales' First Drag Off in September, will host an open mic session as part of the first stages of this year's competition.

The search is on for Wales's next drag superstar - with a RuPaul Drag Race style competition. Shine your heels and get ready to slay as entries are now open for The Welsh Drag Off - North Wales's answer to the popular US show. The first of its kind in the region, drag queens from across the UK are being invited to strut their fabulous stuff in a bid to win the crown.
The competition will see 20 drop dead gorgeous hopefuls take part in six weeks of gruelling auditions where they will battle against one another in themed tasks.
Freddy Mercury and a "Baby Shark" were among those seeking to impress the 'Dark Knight' at Rhyl town Hall. There’s just one more chance for talented Denbighshire hopefuls to left to wow the judges of Wales Got Talent (WGT), with its final round of auditions taking place this Sunday, September 16 at Rhyl Town Hall.
You'll get to go around the Rhyl botanical gardens in darkness - and you'll have to light the way is a handheld torch.
The botanical gardens will be disturbed this Halloween as the undead take over the grounds of the park.
Zombies and demons will roam the historical lawns in Rhyl under the cover of darkness throughout this terrifying new event.

Entries are open now for budding Drag stars to strut their stuff at North Wales’ first ever Drag Off at the Late Lounge in September.
Organised by Prestatyn special effects company the Garden Den, the Welsh Drag Off will see 20 successful entrants from across the UK compete to win over the audience with their act.
